We’re looking for an ambitious, experienced, and dedicated Head Chef to join our team.

The successful candidate will creatively have a blank sheet to work from, and the full support of the owners and management of the business as partners, not just employers.

The role requires at least 5 years of experience working in a professional commercial kitchen, and a demonstrable ability and track record of working well under pressure, managing a kitchen and kitchen staff team, with long hours, including early starts and late finishes.

You will have full responsibility for expanding the current casual dining delivery and dine-in menu, creating new dishes from scratch, and creating a seasonal menu for a new dine-in 5 course dinner service menu, initially running Friday and Saturday night each week with two sittings of 30 covers per sitting. In the medium term, you will be responsible for establishing a new “ghost kitchen” dedicated to all delivery menus, including the addition of several “virtual restaurant brand” menus.

You will be responsible for all aspects of kitchen and dining service and business operations, including supplier selection, stock ordering and staffing. We expect that initially you will find and hire at least one KP.

Between Head Chef and KP, the total hours required are initially expected to be 0900 – 2000 Monday – Thursday; 0900 – 2100 Friday and Saturday and 0700 – 1700 Sunday, totalling 66 hours weekly.

The potential rewards are consummate with the demands of the role. £25,000 – £30,000 p.a. basic salary depending on experience, a share of the gross revenue from the dine-in dinner menu and a quarterly discretionary bonus. There will also be the opportunity to become a shareholder in the company that operates the business in the long term.
